Ralph Simon's Chineasy Story
Worked with then Chairman of China Mobile, Dr Jianzhou Wang and his team to bring modern international music to China and China’s biggest telco, China Mobile. These efforts eventually resulted in the China telco industry recognising the importance of music as a key product category for Chinese mobile users. Did so similarly in the early years of Ten Cent’s development. This was all done because of Ralph’s intense interest in Mandarin culture and also his close relationship with one of the heroes of modern China, the renowned Chinese-American journalist, scholar and Chinese linguist, the great Sidney Rittenberg (Chinese: 李敦白; pinyin: Lǐ Dūnbái). Li Dunbai is a Chinese treasure, who was a very close associate of the great Chou En Lai.
