041 Days of the Week

Building on the numbers lesson, ShaoLan teaches Transition singer Jesse how to say all the days of the week in Chinese. Unlike days of the week in English, there is a pattern for Chinese. It is easier than you might first think! Once you’ve learned how to say one to four in Chinese, you are able to say Monday to Thursday.

“xīng qí, 星期” means week.

When you add number one after xīng qí, it becomes Monday.

If you add two after xīng qí, it becomes Tuesday. Easy, right?
