Learning how to say the days of the year in Chinese is not as hard as it sounds. Once you know how to say numbers from one to ten, you are able to master from January to December. In this episode, ShaoLan and Jesse from Transition teach you how to say date as quickly as possible.
Tip to remember:
月 (yuè) means “month.“ If you add number before 月 (yuè), it indicates a certain month. For example, 一 (yī) means “one“ and 一月 (yī yuè) means “January.“
日 (rì) is “day.“ Just like 月 (yuè), 一日 (yī rì) means “the first day.“ You know how to say “January 1st?“ Just combine them together!
一月一日 (yī yuè yī rì) means “January 1st.“
