China has one of the longest histories on earth, over 5000 years, while simultaneously being one of the most “modern” looking countries in the world. Sean Leow, the director of International at Kickstarter talks about one of his other ventures called Neo Cha, which he started up while living in Shanghai. The idea of this company was to create a platform that could promote creative ideas and stories from artists and musicians to a wider audience, something that has taken off and been extremely successful. 

In Chinese, the word for new is “新”! As ShaoLan says, in China at the moment, almost everything is 新, new!
