Do you get on well with your colleagues? Susan Bird is a TED resident speaker and the host of Conversation360 Podcast. She discusses with ShaoLan, the importance of colleagues both from the perspective of how to recruit the right kind of people for your organization, and once you have done that, how to lead in a way that builds a sense of team amongst colleagues. One gem of advice she gives is “hire for attitude and train for skill,” something that is extremely relevant in today’s fast pace, constantly evolving the world of work.

To say colleague in Chinese, you say 同事. The first character,  means “alike” or “same” and the second character  means “matters,” “tasks,” “things.” So the people who have the “same tasks” are the colleagues.
